Hapoel Haifa Player Anis Portash Fined for Cursing Coach
Hapoel Haifa midfielder Anis Portash will be fined by the club for cursing at coach Haim Silvas after being substituted during the team's 2-1 loss to Beitar Jerusalem on Saturday. This was Hapoel Haifa's first loss of the season in League.
Portash, who had entered the game as a substitute, reportedly cursed at Silvas just before entering the locker room. He later told teammates he was frustrated by the substitution and said things he shouldn't have.
Club owner Yoav Katz stated that while Portash is fundamentally a good person, his actions were unacceptable. "He will have to learn to overcome anger and frustration," Katz said. "What he did is unacceptable and he will be fined."
