The film's plot centers on Maya Martin, a successful London lawyer played by Gadot, whose life is upended when she receives a call during her morning run informing her that her son has been kidnapped. "The Runner" features British actor Damian Lewis alongside Gadot and is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Kevin Macdonald, known for the documentary "One Day in September." The 84-minute film, produced for Amazon MGM Studios, premiered on Prime Video in early September.
