On the opposing side, Maccabi Netanya coach Roni Levy expressed disappointment with the loss, particularly criticizing what he deemed a "soft" penalty awarded to Maccabi Tel Aviv. He felt his team played better in the second half and that the penalty call significantly impacted the game. Levy also pointed to the youth and inexperience of his defense as a potential factor in their struggles, while acknowledging the strong performance of Maccabi Tel Aviv, who had recently defeated other top teams.

Netanya player Nadav Nidam echoed Levy's sentiments about the penalty, calling it "from nothing." He felt the team was prepared and in the game, especially after equalizing, but the second goal was a blow. Nidam also noted the positive impact of Isaac, who came on and helped change the team's style.
