Social Media Stars Undertake Spiritual Journey to Jewish Holy Sites
Following the events of October 7th, a renewed interest in Jewish tradition and identity has emerged among many Israelis. To connect with younger generations, this engagement is increasingly taking place through social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram stories, rather than traditional sermons.
Sharon Adam, mother of fallen soldier Omer Adam, and educator Bracha Shilat have organized a spiritual journey for several social media influencers. The pilgrimage, dubbed a "journey of forgiveness," spans from Kfar Chabad to Rachel's Tomb and the Western Wall.
The initiative aims to leverage the influencers' reach to foster a deeper connection to Jewish heritage among their followers. The journey highlights a modern approach to religious observance and identity, utilizing contemporary digital tools to convey traditional messages.
