Influencers Join Pre-Yom Kippur Prayers in Jerusalem

Dozens of Israeli social media influencers and public figures gathered in Jerusalem for a day of prayer and reflection ahead of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. The event, led by Rabbi Bracha Shilat and Sharon Adam, included visits to Rachel's Tomb and the Western Wall.

At the Western Wall, the group was welcomed by Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, the Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites. He spoke with the leaders about connecting social media influence with tradition and faith, shared words of Torah, and presented them with his new book. The participants also toured archaeological excavations near the Western Wall.

The day concluded with a special "Selichot" (penitential prayers) performance by singer Yuval Dayan. The group also met with Rabbi Liraz Ze'ira, a Chabad emissary who lost both his legs in Syria a year prior, and heard about his recovery journey.

Among the notable attendees were Tzipi Refaeli, Natalie Dadon, Sana Sokol, and Shirah Iskoff. Rabbi Shilat and Adam described the day as emotional, highlighting the unity of the Israeli people and the positive influence of these women in fostering an atmosphere of holiness and prayer, connecting with their heritage for the next generation.
