Iran Sets War End Terms, Awaits Trump's Response, Says Official

Iran has communicated its conditions for ending regional "wars" to Washington via Qatar, stating it is now awaiting a response from U.S. President Donald Trump, according to Mohsen Rezai, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council. Rezai told Al Jazeera that Tehran's demands include a cessation of hostilities on all fronts, the release of frozen Iranian funds, and the lifting of a naval blockade.

Rezai also suggested that actions by the United States and Israel could provide Iran with grounds to withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, though he clarified that no such decision has been made. He further issued a threat, stating that if Iran is attacked, it will strike U.S. bases and interests in the region with "much greater force."

In parallel, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Admiral Brad Cooper reported that U.S. forces have facilitated the passage of over one billion barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz in recent months, involving more than 2,000 tankers and vessels. Cooper noted that due to U.S. sanctions on Iranian ports and vessels, Tehran has been unable to export any oil.
