Iran Sets Demands for Ceasefire, Threatens Nuclear Deal Withdrawal

Iran has escalated its indirect negotiations with the United States by presenting a clear ultimatum regarding the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Mohsen Rezai, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, stated that Tehran has conveyed its demands for a ceasefire and is awaiting a response from U.S. President Donald Trump. According to a report by Ynet, Rezai revealed in an interview with Al Jazeera that Qatar is mediating these discussions. "We are in contact with Qatar, which has conveyed our conditions for stopping the war to Washington, and we are awaiting a response from President Trump," Rezai said.

Rezai detailed the Iranian regime's list of demands, which includes ending the war on all fronts, releasing frozen Iranian funds globally, and lifting the naval blockade. Beyond these political demands, the senior Iranian official issued unprecedented threats against the West. Rezai warned that the current confrontation could lead Tehran to take a "radical and dramatic step," specifically mentioning the possibility of withdrawing from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. He stated that U.S. and Israeli actions provide grounds for such a move, although a final decision has not yet been made.

Concluding his remarks, Rezai issued a stern warning to the White House, asserting, "If we are attacked, we will strike American bases and Washington's interests in the region with greater force."
