Hapoel Jerusalem Striker Andrew Idowu Surges in Scoring Form
Andrew Idowu, a 20-year-old forward for Hapoel Jerusalem, has demonstrated a dramatic improvement in his performance for the 2026/2027 season. After a less dominant 2025/2026 season, Idowu has found exceptional form, scoring again on Saturday against Maccabi Petah Tikva. This latest goal marks his fourth in five league games this season, with all his goals coming in the last three matches.
In addition to his four goals, Idowu has also provided one assist. In the 138 minutes played between his goal against Kiryat Shmona and his current goal, he has been involved in a scoring play every approximately 27.5 minutes. This represents a significant leap from his previous season.
Last season, across 32 appearances in all competitions, Idowu scored only four goals and added two assists. His involvement in a goal previously occurred roughly every 330 minutes. This season, he is involved in a scoring play approximately every 87 minutes, a rate nearly four times faster than the previous year.
