Maccabi Tel Aviv Defender Kamara Injured, Replaced by Asante in Starting Lineup
Maccabi Tel Aviv defender Moussa Camara has been ruled out of Saturday's away match against Maccabi Netanya due to an injury sustained during warm-ups. Tyreece Asante will start in his place at center-back, the club announced. This marks Asante's first start for Maccabi Tel Aviv this season. He had not played at all against Hapoel Jerusalem or Maccabi Haifa, and came on as a substitute in the last two games against Hapoel Be'er Sheva and Hapoel Tel Aviv.
This is the first league game Camara will miss this season, having played in all four previous rounds, completing 90 minutes in three of them and coming on as a substitute in the other. Last season, Asante primarily played as a right-back, but he is expected to play as a center-back on Saturday, with James Tavernier at right-back.
