Maccabi Tel Aviv Defender Kamara Injured in Warm-up, Replaced by Assante
Maccabi Tel Aviv defender Moussa Camara has been ruled out of Saturday night's away match against Maccabi Netanya due to an injury sustained during the pre-game warm-up. The club announced that Tyris Assante will start in his place at center-back.
This marks Assante's first start for Maccabi Tel Aviv this season. He was not involved in the match against Hapoel Jerusalem, was not included in the squad against Maccabi Haifa, and came on as a substitute in the last two games against Hapoel Be'er Sheva and in the derby against Hapoel Tel Aviv.
For Camara, this is the first league game he will miss this season, having participated in all previous four rounds. He played full 90 minutes in three of those matches and came on as a substitute in the second half against Hapoel Jerusalem.
Last season, Assante primarily played as a right-back. However, he is expected to play as a center-back tonight, with James Tavernier occupying the right-back position.
