Sakhnin College Hosts Education Ministry Conference on New School Year

Sakhnin Academic College hosted the "Life Compass" conference, organized by the Ministry of Education, to mark the opening of the academic year. The event was attended by Education Minister Yoav Kisch, along with senior ministry officials, local authority heads, education department leaders, inspectors, school principals from across Israel, and educators. The college's selection as host underscored its growing importance as a central academic institution in the Arab community, particularly after becoming the first public academic college serving this demographic. The conference aimed to provide a professional and educational platform for the new school year, featuring welcome remarks, professional discussions, and presentations on educational programs, notably the "Tashkil" program for the Arab community. Discussions also focused on challenges, needs, and opportunities for developing the education system and fostering collaboration among educational leaders.

Minister Kisch expressed his pleasure at participating in the conference and being at Sakhnin Academic College, highlighting its academic and educational role. He affirmed that the college's recognition by the Council for Higher Education and its transformation into a public academic college were well-deserved, praising its service to the community and educational development. Professor Faisal Azaiza, President of Sakhnin Academic College, welcomed Minister Kisch and the attendees, emphasizing the college's role in hosting such gatherings of educational leaders. He showcased the college's vision, academic development, and new programs designed to meet evolving educational and societal needs, stressing the responsibility that comes with being the first public academic college for the Arab community. Azaiza highlighted the college's commitment to expanding its work and strengthening partnerships with the Ministry of Education, local authorities, and educational institutions to advance education and prepare future professionals.
