Israeli Police Chief, Northern Commander Join Race Honoring Druze Fallen

Israeli Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai and Northern District Commander Meir Eliahu participated on Friday in the annual "For the Sons' Path" race, held in memory of fallen members of the Druze community. The traditional five-kilometer race, which took place in the Lavi Forest, aims to commemorate the Druze dead and honor their legacy and contributions to Israel's security.

Hundreds of Israeli police officers, senior security officials, representatives of public organizations, and members of the Druze community joined the event, which focused on remembrance, unity, and honoring those who lost their lives. Shabtai and Eliahu initiated the race, running alongside officers as a gesture of respect for the Druze fallen who died in the line of duty serving the state.

The participation of police officials in the race highlights the strong partnership between the Israeli Police and the Druze community, as well as the collective appreciation for the fallen and their families. The annual event serves as a commemoration and a demonstration of brotherhood, partnership, and shared commitment to the State of Israel.
