Player Refuses Handshake With Coach After Early Substitution
During a Friday match between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Petah Tikva, Hapoel Petah Tikva's coach, Omer Peretz, made two early substitutions in the 24th minute. This decision came after Hapoel Tel Aviv had already scored two goals within the first 17 minutes. The players substituted were Avishai Cohen and Diego Arroyo. Arroyo, a Bolivian defender, reacted negatively to being taken out of the game. Instead of going to the bench and shaking hands with Coach Peretz, Arroyo immediately left the field and headed directly to the locker room.
The match eventually ended with a 3-0 victory for Hapoel Tel Aviv, with an own goal by Or Israelov sealing the win. The early substitutions by Peretz were a response to his team's poor performance in the opening stages of the game.
