Boaten's Scoring Surge Puts Him Ahead of Last Season's Pace
Emmanuel Boateng is demonstrating significantly improved form in the 2026/2027 season with Hapoel Tel Aviv. The striker, part of coach Eliyahu Brada's squad, scored again on Friday against Hapoel Petah Tikva. This marks the fourth consecutive league game in which Boateng has been directly involved in a goal, either by scoring or assisting. Previously, he assisted against Beitar Jerusalem, scored against Hapoel Ramat Gan, and assisted in the recent derby against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Boateng also scored a brace against Ludogorets in the Conference League qualifiers. In total, he has been involved in six goals (four goals, two assists) across 11 appearances this season, averaging involvement in a goal every 1.8 games. This represents a substantial leap from his performance last season, when including his 14 games for Turkish club Gaziantep, he was involved in only four goals (three goals, one assist) in 27 appearances, averaging involvement every 6.75 games. His current goal involvement rate this season is 3.75 times faster than last season.
