Israeli Soccer League Sees Strong Attendance in Week 4
The Israeli Premier League recorded a total attendance of 65,792 spectators across all matches during the fourth week of the season, according to figures released by the league management. The data was published just before the fifth week's games commenced.
The most highly attended match was the Tel Aviv derby between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv, which drew 26,846 fans to Bloomfield Stadium. Of these, 21,896 were Maccabi fans and 4,950 were Hapoel supporters.
The following day, a match between Beitar Jerusalem and Maccabi Petah Tikva also attracted a large crowd, with 21,232 spectators at the stadium, predominantly Beitar Jerusalem fans (21,087).
Other stadiums also saw good turnout. In Netanya, 6,816 fans attended the game where Maccabi Haifa defeated Hapoel Kiryat Shmona, with 6,500 of them supporting Maccabi Haifa. Additionally, nearly 3,000 Hapoel Be'er Sheva fans traveled to Petah Tikva to watch their team beat the local Hapoel team, in a game that saw a total of 5,929 attendees at the stadium.
