Former Hostage Bar Kupershtein Appeals for Missing Haymanut Kassau

Former hostage Bar Kupershtein made an emotional appeal on Thursday evening for the return of Haymanut Kassau, who has been missing for over two and a half years. The plea was delivered during a prayer and thank-you event held at Hostages Square in Tel Aviv.

"The people of Israel have proven that they do not abandon anyone. Haymanut is one of us, and we need her to come home," Kupershtein stated. He expressed gratitude to Israelis who prayed and mobilized for the hostages and their families, also honoring IDF soldiers, war wounded, and bereaved families. He specifically mentioned the Kassau family, who remain without news of their daughter.

Kupershtein emphasized that while some have returned, the public must continue to remember those who did not have the chance to come back. He acknowledged that the joy of those reunited with loved ones is intertwined with the pain of families who have lost theirs. Drawing a parallel to the Kassau family's situation, he said, "I know what it means for a family not to know where their child is." He urged continued public support for Haymanut, noting that "there is still a family in Israel that has been waiting for over two and a half years for their daughter to come home."
