Israeli Comedian Matan Peretz Reveals Past Financial Hardship, Living in His Car

Israeli comedian Matan Peretz, known for his role in the 2018 YouTube project "My Vibe" and the reality show "Project Relizo," recently shared details of a severe financial struggle he endured. During an appearance on Channel 12's "Intimate" program with Rafi Reshef, Peretz revealed that he lived in his car for nearly six months due to economic difficulties.

Peretz described his living conditions during that period, stating he had only a pillow, a thin blanket, a small toothbrush kit, and a water bottle he constantly refilled. "It was terrible. I understood that it was part of me, part of crashing to the very bottom," he recounted.

Reshef questioned why Peretz didn't seek help from his father, who could have easily resolved his financial distress. Peretz acknowledged he could have returned home, but explained his decision was driven by ego. "My parents would have taken me in a second," he admitted, but he believed his participation in Sahar Kalizo's project would bring him success.

His father had warned him against the YouTube venture, advising, "I don't understand YouTube, but I'm a businessman. This business isn't working." Peretz, however, dismissed his father's concerns, believing the project would launch his career.
