A small group of Hapoel Tel Aviv fans cursed coach Dimitris Itoudis and called for his resignation during the team's Social Super Cup game against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Sunday. The incident occurred behind the team's bench as fans expressed dissatisfaction with the team's performance in what is the first game of the new season. Security was increased in the area following the fans' outburst. Team owner Ofer Yanai approached the protesting fans and told them they were disrupting the game's management. Hapoel Tel Aviv is currently trailing significantly against their rivals in the match.
