Top Rabbis Urge Public to Donate to Aid Organization for Divine Favor

Two prominent Israeli rabbis, Rabbi Gershon Edelstein and Rabbi David Landau, have issued a joint letter advising the public on the best way to secure a favorable judgment in the upcoming High Holy Days. They state that the most effective way to "win one's case" before God is to participate in the large-scale charity efforts of the "Vaad Harabanim" (Council of Rabbis), an organization that assists thousands of families in distress, including the sick, orphans, widows, and the poor.

Rabbi Landau emphasized that this is not just any good deed, but "the best advice" available in the spiritual realm. He further promised that those who contribute will be saved from all troubles and illnesses, and will be inscribed in the "book of good life" along with their families. This, he explained, is a principle of "measure for measure": by saving struggling families and the sick on Earth, one receives divine protection from hardship and disease.

Rabbi Moshe Hillel Hirsch also joined in this call, highlighting the significance of donating to the Vaad Harabanim for the Day of Judgment. He offered a comprehensive blessing to all donors, wishing them a favorable judgment, inscription in the book of life, salvation from troubles and illnesses, and abundant nachas (satisfaction) from their descendants throughout the coming year.
