Former MK Tropper Criticizes Winter's Alliance with Netanyahu
Former Knesset Member Chili Tropper has stated that Benny Gantz's National Unity party is facing internal challenges, particularly regarding its alliance with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Tropper, who recently joined Gantz's party, expressed disappointment with former IDF General Yigal Winter's decision to align with Netanyahu, despite Winter's known criticisms of the Prime Minister's handling of the war.
"Winter, unfortunately, chooses through his actions to join those who enabled all the evasion, in the government responsible for the difficult situation we are in," Tropper said in an interview. He highlighted the apparent contradiction in Winter's stance, noting, "We know how critical Winter is of Netanyahu regarding the conduct on the various fronts of the fighting, and still, he chooses to go with him."
The full interview is set to be published tomorrow in the weekend supplement of Yedioth Ahronoth and in Yedioth+. The comments signal potential friction within the political landscape surrounding the war effort and leadership.
