Legal Correspondent Guy Peleg Denies Rift with Channel 12 Amidst "Good Name" War

Legal affairs correspondent for Channel 12 and radio host Guy Peleg addressed rumors circulating on social media regarding his reduced presence in studios. These rumors suggested a crisis between Peleg and Channel 12 following the "Shadei Teiman" affair. Peleg vehemently denied these claims, stating that Channel 12 is his primary workplace and has provided him with exceptional support and appreciation, evidenced by his recent contract extension.

Peleg explained that his decision to reduce his on-air appearances, particularly hosting and participating in panels, stemmed from a desire to avoid interviewing or sharing a platform with individuals who have publicly accused him of fabricating a story about IDF soldiers. He specifically mentioned not wanting to interview Minister Gila Gamliel or sit on panels with MK Moshe Saada, whom he considers to be involved in a "terrible blood libel" against him.

He characterized these politicians as "despicable" for their actions and accusations against him and his employer. Peleg stated that he requested to stop hosting and, in some cases, to avoid panel appearances because Channel 12 cannot exclusively host those seeking to instigate change in the country, implying a need to maintain journalistic distance from those making such accusations.

Peleg emphasized that he is currently in the midst of a significant "war for my good name" and expressed gratitude to Channel 12 for understanding his "very special situation" and continuing to support him. He clarified that his intention in a recent podcast interview was to convey that while he is fighting for his reputation, Channel 12 cannot be perceived as aligning solely with one political faction, and he cannot associate with those who have made such severe accusations against him.
