Justice Ministry Urges October 7 Victims to Apply for Disability Benefits
Israel's Justice Ministry is calling on families of those killed, abducted, or held captive following the October 7th attacks, as well as survivors and their families, to apply for disability benefits if their work capacity has been affected. This applies to individuals who are not working or whose work has been reduced since October 7th due to health reasons.
The ministry's legal aid division explained that the application process is conducted online through the victim's or captive's insurance company. Free legal assistance is available from the Justice Ministry's legal aid attorneys for those who need help navigating the process.
The benefits are intended to provide financial support through pension funds for those who have lost their ability to work as a result of the events.
