Joint List Condemns Police Killing of Arab Youth, Cites 'Light Trigger Finger'

The Joint List has strongly condemned what it termed the "horrific field execution" of Alaa Mahamid, a young man from Umm al-Fahm, by police forces. The party asserted that the incident occurred amidst a complete police blackout on its true details, with authorities deliberately disseminating unproven claims to justify the "cold-blooded shooting."

In a statement, the Joint List accused the Israeli police, under the "direct instructions of the fascist minister" responsible for them, Itamar Ben-Gvir, of employing a policy of a "light trigger finger" when dealing with Arab citizens. The party argued that these "bloody practices" reflect a dangerous mindset that views Arab lives as cheap and easily taken without consequence.

The Joint List highlighted a stark contradiction, accusing the police of being aggressive towards unarmed citizens while failing to combat violent gangs and organized crime plaguing Arab society. The group suggested this inaction indicates complicity by the security forces.
