Exon Vision Secures $270,000 Initial Order for AI Aerial System

Exon Vision announced a NIS 1 million (approximately $270,000) immediate order from a domestic defense client to expand the use of its EdgeISR system. The client also holds options for an additional NIS 2 million (approximately $540,000), potentially bringing the total order value to NIS 3 million (approximately $810,000). These amounts include VAT, with delivery expected within the next 12 months. The company's stock saw a positive reaction, rising up to 9%, though it remains down approximately 34% year-to-date and the company's market value stands at NIS 90 million (approximately $24 million).

This new order represents an expansion of existing activity with the same client. The EdgeISR system is designed for intelligence gathering and target acquisition from manned and unmanned aerial platforms. It utilizes AI algorithms for real-time processing of electro-optical sensor data, enabling the identification, classification, and tracking of targets and threats, and presenting this information to the operator.

The announcement follows Exon Vision's first-half financial results, which showed NIS 11.2 million (approximately $3 million) in revenue, a 45% increase year-over-year. A significant shift occurred in revenue composition, with NIS 8.6 million (approximately $2.3 million) generated from selling complete systems, compared to only NIS 400,000 (approximately $108,000) in the same period last year. This contrasts with previous periods where development services constituted a larger portion of the business.

Despite revenue growth, expenses increased at a faster rate, leading to a near doubling of the operating loss to NIS 6.4 million (approximately $1.7 million) and a net loss of NIS 6.6 million (approximately $1.8 million). Gross profit was NIS 6.8 million (approximately $1.8 million), about 61% of revenue, while operating expenses reached NIS 13.3 million (approximately $3.6 million), up from NIS 7.3 million (approximately $2 million) in the prior year. Research and development costs alone amounted to NIS 6.8 million (approximately $1.8 million).

Cash reserves also decreased, falling from NIS 24.9 million (approximately $6.7 million) at the end of 2023 to NIS 17.2 million (approximately $4.6 million) by the end of June, with ongoing operations consuming NIS 6.1 million (approximately $1.6 million) in the first half. Shareholder equity dropped from NIS 26.3 million (approximately $7.1 million) to NIS 20.5 million (approximately $5.5 million). The company had raised approximately NIS 37.5 million (approximately $10 million) net in an August 2023 offering.

Exon Vision CEO Neri Tzin stated that the "accelerated development of the battlefield increases the demand for AI capabilities that can operate at the tactical edge in real time," noting demand for integrating these capabilities into both manned and unmanned platforms. He added that the current order "expands existing activity with the client and represents another step in integrating our technology into operational Shooter-to-Sensor loops."
