Jordan Shua's Social Media Post Sparks Controversy at Beitar Jerusalem

Beitar Jerusalem's captain, Jordan Shua, is facing criticism for a recent social media story, which has caused frustration within the club. During a discussion on the new Walla Sport program "Lo Le'firsum" (Not for Publication), analysts debated the impact of Shua's actions.

Analyst Ofir Sa'ar stated that regardless of starting lineup status, Shua, as captain, should not have posted such a story. He recalled an incident where Shua left a match early in Ashdod, leading to the resignation of then-coach Slobodan Drapić. Drapić confirmed the incident, explaining he resigned because he felt he had lost control of the team.

Sa'ar further suggested that Shua was initially considered for the starting lineup in an upcoming match against Hapoel Haifa. However, his social media post has now put his place in jeopardy, potentially causing him to "burn out" with his teammates if he is allowed to play. Sa'ar questioned how players would perceive Shua's actions, especially since they are aware of the post and believe it was intentional.

The discussion also touched upon the difference between former coach Barak Itzhaki and current coach Almog Cohen, with Sa'ar suggesting Itzhaki had a better understanding of how to manage players, possibly due to Cohen's perceived lack of similar interpersonal skills.
