Liberman Presses Gantz Ally on Coalition Partners

The Yisrael Beiteinu party responded Thursday to statements made by Gadi Eisenkot, a prominent figure in Benny Gantz's National Unity party, asserting that they would not be pressured into action. Yisrael Beiteinu directly challenged Eisenkot, urging him to clarify to the public with whom he intends to form the next government.

"Avigdor Liberman has no ego and has experience, and experience teaches that one must not show pressure at any stage," a Yisrael Beiteinu statement read. The party emphasized its primary goal is to establish a "Zionist" government, explicitly excluding Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Arab parties, and Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) parties.

Yisrael Beiteinu also outlined key policy priorities for the incoming government. "Yisrael Beiteinu is committed to establishing a Zionist government, without Netanyahu, Arab parties, and Haredi parties, that will pass a conscription law for everyone without quotas, without targets, and without exemptions for anyone, and will establish a state commission of inquiry according to law as the first decision in the next government," the party declared.

The party reiterated its demand for a universal conscription law and proposed establishing a state commission of inquiry as an immediate priority. Yisrael Beiteinu stated its aim is to strengthen the "serving bloc" and leverage its power to form a stable government. They again turned their focus to Eisenkot, demanding a clear answer regarding the political composition he seeks to assemble post-election. "What is important is to strengthen the serving bloc and establish a stable government. Gadi Eisenkot would do well to clearly explain to the public who his partners are the day after the elections," Yisrael Beiteinu concluded.
