Bennett, Liberman Blame Eisenkot Campaign for Losing Right-Wing Voters

Naftali Bennett, leader of the "Bayit Yehudi" party, and Avigdor Liberman, head of Yisrael Beiteinu, have discussed a negative electoral trend where undecided voters are returning to Benjamin Netanyahu's bloc. According to Kan news, the two leaders believe Gadi Eisenkot's "HaMahane HaTzioni" party campaign is alienating right-wing voters. Bennett and Liberman are planning joint steps to win back these undecided right-wing votes before the upcoming elections, including adjusting their attacks on Netanyahu.

This discussion occurs amid recent polls showing Eisenkot's party leading with 24-25 seats, while the opposition bloc is losing ground and nearing parity with the coalition. Channel 12 has reported rumors, fueled by media and political circles, that Eisenkot promised Arab and Bedouin councils he would form a government with the Ra'am party.

On September 16, "HaMahane HaTzioni" denied the Channel 12 report, calling it false. The party stated that government participation is only possible with parties that recognize Israel's Declaration of Independence, its Jewish and democratic character, and universal service, and that they would only cooperate with those who consider Hamas a terrorist organization to be destroyed.

Commentators note that Eisenkot and "HaMahane HaTzioni" politicians are largely silent publicly, which some attribute to their strong poll numbers, suggesting they feel no need to change their strategy and can remain in "the bunker" until the election.
