Croatian media outlets have criticized Dinamo Zagreb following a goalless first half against Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the Europa League. Index.hr reported that Hapoel "showed more football" than Dinamo, who, despite a strong start, were unable to maintain control. The Croatian champions allowed Hapoel to possess the ball and looked for counter-attacking opportunities, which were scarce. Former Dinamo player Branko Strupar commented at halftime that Dinamo retreated defensively after a substitution, ceding control to Hapoel.
