Israel Vows to Continue Gaza Strikes Despite International Pressure

Israel's security establishment has stated that targeted assassinations in Gaza will continue, despite international pressure. This declaration follows the recent killing of a Hamas brigade commander, described as one of the most significant since the 20-point agreement was signed in the Gaza Strip. While not a top-tier leader, the commander was involved in planning the October 7th attacks, leading raids, and advancing terror plots.

Israeli security officials emphasize that all targeted individuals were actively advancing terror plans and working against Israeli forces. A Shin Bet official noted that the eliminated terrorists were promoting terror strategies and rebuilding infrastructure against Israeli troops. The security apparatus maintains that Hamas is the party violating the agreement by refusing to disarm.

These assassinations are part of an ongoing effort to eliminate Hamas operatives involved in the October 7th massacre and their replacements. Previous high-profile targets include Noh'ba terrorist Muhammad Mahmoud Al-Qadi, who commanded raids in the Gaza envelope, Talal Mustafa, a security department commander, and brothers Abd and Hassan Zidane, a Hamas company commander and sniper, respectively. Over 30 other terrorists of similar rank, involved in planning the massacre or leading deadly raids, have also been eliminated.

Security officials are resolute in their stance, asserting no intention to yield to international pressure. They argue that Hamas's continued refusal to disarm, despite any declarations, justifies the ongoing strikes. The policy will remain in effect as long as Hamas does not dismantle its armed capabilities.
