State Prosecutor to File Disciplinary Charges Against Senior Official Ro'i Kahlon

The Attorney General's office has decided to file extensive disciplinary charges against Ro'i Kahlon, the former acting Commissioner of the Civil Service and currently the head of the Prime Minister's Office's staff for combating crime in the Arab community. The decision, made with the concurrence of the Haifa District Prosecutor, follows an investigation lasting nearly two years into suspicions of inflating his resume during competitions for senior public service positions.

Kahlon, who was recently questioned about a week ago, claims the proceedings are an "unsubstantiated persecution" by the Attorney General. The Attorney General's office stated in response that "the investigation has not yet concluded." The decision to file charges comes after the completion of specific investigative steps expected to conclude within two weeks.

Kahlon previously served as the acting Commissioner of the Civil Service and is now leading a significant government initiative focused on crime reduction within the Arab community. The investigation centered on allegations that Kahlon misrepresented his qualifications and experience when applying for high-level government roles.
