IDF Commanders Detail "Most Insane" Hezbollah Bunker Complex Assault
Senior commanders from elite Israeli military units have described the recent operation to destroy Hezbollah's extensive bunker and tunnel network in Al-Taher as the most complex and challenging mission of their careers. The operation, which took place a week prior to the report, involved units including the Maglan reconnaissance unit, which played a significant role in the assault on the heavily fortified complex.
Speaking to i24NEWS military correspondent Yinon Shalom, the commanders detailed the strategic strike against the terrorist organization's stronghold. They emphasized the extreme difficulty of the operation, noting the lack of access, resupply routes, electricity, or water within the complex. "We created a real siege," one commander stated, highlighting that Hezbollah had spent two decades preparing the site from which it managed its operations.
The commanders expressed astonishment at the resources Hezbollah invested in the complex, with one stating, "How much did they invest to destroy us?" The report also touched upon the potential for a swift Hezbollah response following the destruction of its key infrastructure.
