Elderly Man Critically Injured, Woman Lightly Hurt in Haifa Traffic Accident
An approximately 80-year-old man sustained critical injuries and a woman was lightly injured in a traffic accident that occurred on Mevo Haifa Street in the city of Haifa on the evening of September 16, 2026. The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency services received a report of the incident at 6:10 PM.
Medical teams rushed to the scene and provided intensive resuscitation efforts to the elderly man before transporting him by intensive care ambulance to Rambam Hospital. The woman, who was lightly injured, was also taken to the same hospital.
An MDA paramedic, Hai Takash, described the scene upon arrival: "We observed a man about 80 years old, unconscious, without pulse or breathing. We provided him with life-saving medical treatment including chest compressions, artificial respiration, defibrillation, and medication. We transported him by intensive care unit to the hospital, and his condition is described as critical."
