Opposition Divided Over Potential Netanyahu Rotation Government

Disagreements have emerged within Israel's opposition regarding the possibility of a rotation government that would include Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett explicitly stated his opposition to any such arrangement, declaring, "I will not agree to a rotation with Netanyahu. Period." Bennett made these remarks at a real estate conference in Tel Aviv, expressing concern that discussions about a rotation government with Netanyahu distract from the opposition's primary goal of securing 61 parliamentary seats.

Bennett's firm stance contrasts with a statement made by Yoram Cohen, the second-ranked candidate on the Yashar list, who indicated that he does not entirely reject the idea of a rotation government involving Netanyahu. Bennett further elaborated on his opposition, asserting that Netanyahu bears direct responsibility for the events leading up to the October 7th attacks, a claim he stated he could prove. Bennett conveyed that these discussions about a potential rotation government are deeply troubling to him.
