Shua's Instagram Post Sparks Tension With Almog Cohen After Beitar Jerusalem Win

Beitar Jerusalem secured their second consecutive victory, defeating Maccabi Petah Tikva 3-1 on Tuesday. However, the win was overshadowed by renewed tension between star player Yarden Shua and professional director Almog Cohen.

Following the match, Shua shared an Instagram story that read, "Enough with the ego games, Yarden Shua needs to start every game!". This post, which was not originally written by Shua, was perceived as a jab at Cohen. Shua later deleted the story and re-uploaded it with a modified caption, seemingly an attempt to obscure the original message. Despite his efforts, the initial post had already circulated widely on social media, leaving fans speculating about the state of the relationship between the two.

Prior to the game, Cohen had stated that Shua was not 100% fit, which led to him starting on the bench. Shua entered the game in the 60th minute and provided a crucial assist for the team's third goal in the 88th minute, scored by Samuel Calu.

Despite the internal friction, Beitar Jerusalem has managed to string together two wins in a row. The team is scheduled to play Hapoel Haifa at home in Bloomfield Stadium this coming Saturday.
