Three Seriously Injured in Ashdod and Ashkelon Violence Within Two Days

Police arrested a minor Wednesday morning in connection with the stabbing of a 17-year-old boy in Ashdod on Tuesday. A second suspect was apprehended near the scene. Authorities stated the motive was a dispute between the youths, all of whom are known to police. The 17-year-old suffered serious stab wounds and was evacuated to the hospital in serious but stable condition, conscious and receiving initial medical treatment including bleeding control and medication.

This incident followed another stabbing in Ashdod on Monday, where a 19-year-old man was seriously injured. Police believe this stabbing stemmed from a road rage incident that escalated to violence. Two suspects, residents of Ashdod, were arrested in Tel Aviv. In total, four suspects have been arrested in connection with the two Ashdod incidents.

Separately, in Ashkelon on Tuesday evening, a 54-year-old man was severely beaten with a plank. No suspect has been arrested yet, but police indicated his identity and location are known and he is currently on the run, with an arrest expected later the same day.

Paramedics described finding the 17-year-old victim lying on the ground with penetrating wounds, providing him with life-saving treatment before transport. Regarding the Monday stabbing, police reported that officers quickly responded to the scene, gathered evidence, and transferred the suspects for investigation. Paramedics also described treating the 19-year-old victim for a penetrating wound, noting he was disoriented before receiving emergency medical care and being transported to the hospital.
