Former MK Esterina Tartman Dies at 68
Esterina Tartman, a former Member of Knesset for the Yisrael Beiteinu party, passed away Wednesday at the age of 68. Tartman served in the Knesset from 2006 to 2009. She also held the position of reserve city officer for the Benjamin and Givat Ze'ev region.
Tartman had previously battled cancer in the mid-1990s, from which she recovered. In 1997, she was severely injured in a car accident that left her bedridden for approximately a year due to widespread injuries.
Yisrael Beiteinu party chairman Avigdor Lieberman expressed his sorrow on social media, stating, "I received with great sadness the news of the untimely passing of former MK Esterina Tartman." He added, "Esterina dedicated many years to public service and to the State of Israel, acting with devotion and determination. My sincere condolences to her family and all her loved ones during this difficult time. May her memory be blessed."
