Raanana Opens "Tiny Orchard" Nature Space for Young Children
The Raanana Municipality today inaugurated "Tiny Orchard," a new urban nature space located on Ha'Horesh Street in the Ha'Prachim neighborhood. The area is specifically designed for toddlers and their families, featuring dwarf fruit trees that allow young children to easily reach, explore, and pick fruit directly from the branches at their height.
Integrated into the orchard are child-sized benches, walking paths, and play areas intended to foster independent exploration, experiential learning, and a direct connection with urban nature. The project was implemented as part of the municipality's participation in the international Urban95 program, which focuses on designing public spaces from the perspective of toddlers up to 95 centimeters tall and their parents.
The Raanana Municipality has invited families and residents to visit the new space, stroll along the paths, and enjoy an accessible, community-oriented nature spot within the heart of the neighborhood.
