Vizhnitz Rebbe's Granddaughter Engaged in Lavish Celebration
The Vizhnitz Hasidic dynasty celebrated the engagement of the Rebbe's granddaughter this week in a grand ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Rabbi Yaakov Mordechai Hager, Av Beis Din of Vizhnitz Elad, and she is engaged to the grandson of Rabbi Pinchas Ernester, Rabbi Eliezer Ernester, Rabbi of Kiryat Maoz Hachaim in Tzfat, and Rabbi Chaim Halperin, Rabbi of the 'Dברי חיים' community in Golders Green, London.
The celebration took place in the new "Heichal Ditzah Vechadva" hall, located in the Vizhnitz center building. The hall was a donation from Rabbi Nachman Mendel, in memory of his wife.
During the event, the Rebbe actively encouraged singing and music. He particularly emphasized the song 'Tamid Shtendig Freilich Zein' (To Always Be Joyful), a well-known melody. The Rebbe hinted through the song's lyrics that the year 5787 (2026-2027) would be a year of joy, suggesting a significant positive event or period for the community.
The event was documented by photographer Meir Farkash.
