Fallen Soldier's Mother Critiques 'Farha' Film Over Civilian Casualties

Tzurit Feinstein, mother of Sergeant Major Maoz Feinstein, who was killed in combat in Jabalia, has spoken out against the film 'Farha,' which recently won a jury prize at the Venice Film Festival. Feinstein, who is also on the management board of the "Gevura" forum, shared her personal story in response to the claims presented in the movie.

"The fall of my son is the real collateral damage," Feinstein stated, contrasting her experience with the film's narrative. She explained that her son and his unit were in an area that was supposed to be clear of civilians. However, upon observing suspicious movement, they called for air support and conducted checks to avoid harming innocents.

Feinstein recounted that while her son's unit was awaiting assistance, he was hit by a sniper. "It took a long time for the desired air support to arrive, and when it did, it was already too late. A sniper hit my son. If we are talking about collateral damage, this is the real collateral damage," she said.

Concluding her remarks, Feinstein offered words of encouragement to IDF soldiers, stating, "I want to tell the IDF soldiers that we are behind you, you are our heroes. We cannot exist without you, and you are fighting the most just war there is. So be strong, and we are behind you."
