Trump says shipping is fleeing the Strait of Hormuz, gives 60 days for a deal with Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump spoke at a ceremony inaugurating a Boeing aircraft that Qatar had given as a gift, and used the event to comment on the war with Iran.

Trump said that within a week, the United States had destroyed Iran's entire navy, air force, missile defense systems, and radar network. He also claimed that ships were leaving the Strait of Hormuz in unprecedented numbers, saying, “about 700 of them” were streaming out.

According to Trump, there is now a signed agreement that gives 60 days to reach a deal. “Otherwise, we will do things they will not be happy about,” he said, adding, “I don’t think it will get to that.”
