Jerusalem Football Star Posts, Deletes Criticism of Coaching Staff
Jerusalem Beitar star Yarden Shua posted and then deleted a critical message on social media directed at the team's professional staff. The message, shared on his Instagram story, stated, "Enough with the ego games. Yarden Shua needs to start every game!". Shua posted the message about an hour before removing it.
This incident follows Beitar Jerusalem's 3-1 victory over Maccabi Petah Tikva on Tuesday. Shua, who did not start the match, came on as a substitute in the second half and assisted the team's third goal. Coach Almog Cohen explained Shua's initial absence from the starting lineup was due to fitness concerns, with the club hesitant to risk him.
Despite the team's positive performance and win, Shua's deleted post suggests lingering tensions or dissatisfaction within the squad regarding his role and playing time.
