Yogev Malka said he was shocked to learn that his friend Ben Zini is dating "Dancing with the Stars" mentor Yana Dubrovskaya. The relationship was reported this week, and Malka admitted on the show "Medabrim Al Kochavim" that he found out only after reading the entertainment coverage.
Malka, a former ninja competitor and reality dance star, explained that Zini is his friend but he had no idea about the romance. "I have no idea, he is my friend and I did not know about this relationship. It happened all at once, I knew nothing, I saw the reports and I was shocked," he said on the program hosted by Maya Key.
The connection between Malka and Zini goes back to "Dancing with the Stars," when Zini danced with Julia Shahar, who is married to Malka and met him on the dance floor. In the same segment, Shahar Taboch praised Dubrovskaya, saying he knows her from the previous season of the show and called her "amazing" and "there is no one like her." He also said of Zini, "He is amazing," adding that he had not asked Dubrovskaya about the new relationship but believed it was true.
Key also commented, saying, "You can say anything about Ben, but he is a man among men." Dubrovskaya finished her run on the current season this week alongside Tom Aviv, after they were eliminated following their second dance. In earlier seasons, she also danced with actor Imri Biton, who was injured early in the season, and with model On Raphael, who was also eliminated midway through the competition.
