Lod Municipality Hosts Women Entrepreneurs Conference for Networking

The Lod Municipality recently held a special conference for self-employed women and business owners in Lod and Shoham, themed "A New Business Year, New Connections." The event, which took place at the municipality's conference hall, marked the beginning of another year of joint activities aimed at fostering business opportunities and community among women entrepreneurs.

The conference is part of an ongoing municipal initiative to support women in business, emphasizing the importance of a strong local business community for success, enabling networking, learning, consultation, and collaboration. Keynote speaker Shani Peretz-Kariv, a personal and business development mentor, led a session on body language and charisma in business. Attendees also participated in workshops on self-presentation, storytelling, and business presence, alongside roundtables focused on self-empowerment and professional development.

Notable attendees included Lod Mayor Adv. Yair Revivo, Municipal CEO Aharon Attias, City Council members Elvira Kolichman and Mira Marciano, and social integration department officials. The event was organized by Efrat Avraham, the Mayor's advisor for women's status in Lod, in collaboration with her counterpart in Shoham, Vered Harosh, and municipal coordinator Shuli Yechiel.

The municipality stressed that its support extends beyond this single event, with plans for ongoing professional meetings, skill-building workshops, and networking opportunities throughout the year. The goal is to translate these connections into tangible collaborations that strengthen local businesses and the economy of Lod. The initiative aims to expand participation, connect experienced and new entrepreneurs, and foster partnerships that benefit both businesses and the city as a whole.
