Israel Tourism Ministry Strengthens Ties in France
Israel's Ministry of Tourism is actively expanding its connections in France, a market that ranks as the second most important for Israeli tourism after the United States. A delegation led by the Ministry's Director General participated in a major tourism exhibition in France, showcasing Israel's national pavilion. The opening ceremony was attended by Israel's Ambassador to France, Yossi Zarka.
During the event, the Director General held significant working meetings with the French Minister of Tourism, Serge Papin, as well as the Tourism Ministers of Cyprus, Komi Kostas, and a representative from Uzbekistan, Shahbuz Dzihanov. Discussions also took place with executives from major airlines, including EasyJet and Air France, and key players in the tourism industry.
The Israeli pavilion, spanning 72 square meters, features domestic companies such as El Al, the Tel Aviv Municipality, and various hotel chains. Visitors had the opportunity to engage in business discussions and experience Israeli culture through culinary workshops and interactive presentations.
France is a crucial market for Israel, with tens of thousands of French travelers visiting the country in the first eight months of the current year. Currently, 57 direct flights operate weekly between the two nations, a number expected to rise to 70 flights in the upcoming winter season.
Complementing these exhibition efforts, a marketing campaign titled "I Am Israel" will launch in the French market this autumn, utilizing both digital and print platforms to maintain interest and promote Israel as an attractive travel destination.
