Ono Music School Cultivates Religious Talent With Advanced Tech and Performance Focus
Ono Music, a boutique music school within Ono Academic College, is fostering the next generation of Israeli cultural artists, particularly within the religious sector. Maestro Yaron Gottfried, the school's director, explained that the program offers a unique blend of performance opportunities and advanced technological training, including AI applications.
The two-year program leads to a certificate, with an option to complete a bachelor's degree in music. Gottfried highlighted the extensive stage time, with nearly every course culminating in a performance project, alongside annual musical productions and numerous ensembles across various genres. The school boasts a state-of-the-art studio comparable to commercial facilities, emphasizing training in modern music production software.
Gottfried encouraged students from the religious Zionist community to join the college's 25,000 students. He stressed the inclusive environment where religious and secular students learn and perform together. The school prioritizes nurturing artists from their personal emotional and narrative backgrounds, believing this connection to the artist's soul is key to their success.
