Kiryat Ata Marathon Registration Closes Tuesday
The 6th annual Kiryat Ata Marathon is scheduled to take place this Friday, September 18th, starting early in the morning from the city's Sports Park. The event, a collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and Sport and the municipal "Possible Healthy" program, is part of a national initiative to promote healthy and active lifestyles in Israel. Tuesday, September 15th, is the final day for registration, with sign-ups available through the municipality's website. The marathon offers various race distances and categories for all ages and skill levels. Participants can choose between professional 5km and 10km races, which will be divided by age and gender. A 2km community run is also available for families and students, intended to encourage enjoyable physical activity for everyone. All participants will receive a professional kit including a race shirt, a medal, and personal timing equipment. Winners in the top three positions of each category will receive special recognition and trophies. Mayor Yaakov Peretz stated, "The Kiryat Ata Marathon has become a welcome city tradition and a true celebration of sport and community. I invite all residents, amateurs, professionals, and families to come, participate, and enjoy a fun sporting experience in the city."
