Central Elections Committee Chairman Justice Noam Sohlberg ordered National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir to remove a video showing the humiliation of activists from the Gaza-bound flotilla, and to pay NIS 35,000 in legal costs. Sohlberg, a Supreme Court justice, fully accepted a petition filed by the Movement for Quality Government.
The petition concerned a video published on May 20. According to the organization, the footage contained clear elements of election propaganda, making it improper for use in the campaign context.
By granting the petition in full, the committee required the content to be taken down and imposed the cost order on Ben Gvir.
