Israel coach Ariel Beit-Halahmi announced the national basketball roster on Friday ahead of games against Germany and Croatia on July 3 and July 6. This is the team's first window since the two games against Cyprus in March, and 15 players were named, with 14 ultimately expected to travel to Latvia for the opening game against Germany.
Captain Tomer Ginat, who was called up, is doubtful because of a knee injury. Four players are ruled out through injury, Bar Timor, Idan Zalmanson, Tamir Blatt and Yovel Zoosman. NBA forward Danny Avdija was not released for the window.
Benyah Sror received his first senior call-up, while Ethan Burg was recalled to the squad for the first time since last summer's EuroBasket. The roster also includes Yam Madar, Noam Yaacov, Kadin Carrington, Yair Kravitz, Guy Palatin, Adam Ariel, Joaquin Schuchman, Natanel Artzi, Lior Karev, Roman Sorkin, Yotam Hanukhi and Ilay Dolinsky.
