Hamas Battalion Commander Killed in Gaza Drone Strike
Sources in Gaza reported that Ahmad al-Batsh, also known as "Abu Osama," was killed in Gaza City on the night of September 15. Al-Batsh reportedly commanded the Jabalia battalion within the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas. Earlier reports indicated that an Israeli drone attacked a vehicle in the vicinity of the "17th Junction" on Ar-Rashid Street, in the As-Safatawi area of western Gaza City, near the Gaza port. Al-Shifa Hospital reported one fatality and several injuries following the incident. The Israeli military has not yet commented on the report.
