TV Host Guy Pines Slams Officials Over Gaza Film at Venice Festival

Television host Guy Pines has sharply criticized Israeli state authorities in response to the controversy surrounding the documentary film "N.Z.A." (Accidental Damage) winning an award at the Venice Film Festival. Pines posted on social media that the film's allegations constitute a "terror attack" and that authorities should have been aware of its content.

He accused the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) of lacking intelligence and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, and the Israeli Government Press Office of failing to have prior knowledge. Pines questioned how such a film, making severe accusations, could be presented at a prestigious festival without official Israeli response until three days after its win, asking, "Weren't they woken up again?"

The documentary itself presents testimonies from 24 IDF intelligence officers and soldiers involved in combat in the Gaza Strip. It raises serious questions about target selection policies and their impact on the civilian population.
